The historical fiction writer Patricia Roberts Wright sent me this Writer’s Digest article about authors crossing out their names on title pages before signing. Is it right to deface a book’s design? My preference is to sign with the date, my name and a brief note (general or personal) on the blank front page.
What are your thoughts about authors crossing out their names?
Having read all your published works, I’ve come to admire your creativity and lyrical style as you give voice to your characters.
Obviously, you’ve poured yourself into your remarkable books.
Sign them! Sign them BOLDLY!!
Your ardent fan, Tim C.
I agree with Tim. We should sign our books, without crossing out our names.?
